Job summary

Stantec is hiring experienced Field Survey Technicians for opportunities in Milwaukee, Madison or Sturgeon Bay, WI. You will perform surveying, mapping and data collection with supervision, contributing to project success in varied field environments.

You'll work as part of a larger project team under a Senior Surveyor, ensuring accuracy and safe operation of equipment in outdoor settings. This role emphasizes field data collection and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of field survey methods and calculations.
• Familiarity with local survey laws, rules and regulations.
• Understanding of field instrumentation, GPS and robotic total stations.
• Good cooperative and teamwork skills.
• Strong math skills including algebra and trigonometry.

Responsibilities

• Loads vehicles with tools and equipment and ensures materials are loaded correctly.
• May be required to drive company vehicle to reach jobsites.
• Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
• Verifies the accuracy of field survey data and prepares maps/sketches of field work daily.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature as assigned.
