Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) in Las Cruces, NM, is seeking a hands-on Field Crew member to support boundary, topographic, and construction surveys. You will operate land survey equipment and gather geospatial data alongside a field team.

This entry-level role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and willingness to travel and work outdoors in all weather. You’ll join a safety-focused program with ongoing training and career development.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• One year industry experience.
• Able to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Available to travel/stay out of town for work as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support field crews in boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys.
• Assist in completion of field surveys under supervision.
• Operate survey equipment including total stations and GNSS receivers.
• Prepare neat and accurate field notes and data.
• Load/unload equipment and maintain gear.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
