Job summary

Larson Design Group, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to assist the Survey Party Chief in collecting field data and preparing survey maps and CAD documents. You will operate GPS, Total Station, levels, and data collectors, and report field issues promptly to ensure accuracy and safety on projects.

The role involves site preparation, line clearing, and routine documentation, with opportunities for training and professional development in surveying best practices and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree preferred.
• Associates or Bachelors in Surveying Tech or related field preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, OSHA-10 certifications are a plus; valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and transport surveying equipment to collect field data.
• Support Survey Party Chief to complete daily field tasks.
• Assist with construction layouts by placing stakes and flags as specified.
• Record site data and document field notes.
• Maintain equipment inventory and vehicle readiness.
