Job summary

Alliant Engineering seeks a Survey Crew Chief for our Tampa office. You will support surveying by measuring and mapping for topographic, boundary, easement, plats, as-built surveys, and construction staking.

Responsibilities include operating instruments and managing field data, with data analysis in field or office settings. The role requires two+ years of crew chief experience, a high school diploma, and a Florida driver license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a two-year technical program in survey technology preferred.
• Two or more years of crew chief experience.
• Valid Florida driver license with insurability.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather; some indoor work; long hours possible.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and operates surveying instruments.
• Operates field computer uploading, downloading and storing data.
• Analyzes, compiles notes and data from surveying into computer in the field or office.
• Performs staking and carries equipment.
• Interacts with contractors/clients on project sites when necessary.
• Professional attainments: L.S.I.T. or technical certification desirable but not required.
