Job summary

Superior Construction is seeking a Survey Party Chief to lead construction layout for roadways, bridges, and utilities. You will operate robotic total stations, GPS, levels, and related equipment to deliver precise layouts on heavy civil sites.

This field-based role requires 2–4 years in surveying, HS diploma, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Travel is required, with emphasis on safety and high-quality results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (required).
• 2–4 years’ experience in the surveying industry.
• Field based project execution experience.
• 1 year minimum of construction layout.

Responsibilities

• Determine methods and procedures for recovery of existing survey control and establishing secondary survey control as needed.
• Operate and maintain survey equipment including total stations, levels, GPS and related equipment.
• Perform layout work competently and accurately as specified.
• Familiar with Topcon/Leica/Trimble hardware and software or willingness to learn.
• Demonstrate strong mathematical skills including algebra and geometry.
