Job summary

PS&S is seeking a Survey Crew Chief to lead a field survey team in Warren, NJ. The role covers topographic, control, and as-built surveys with Robotic Total Station and Leica software, ensuring efficient daily operations.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of crew supervision, strong math skills, and a valid driver's license. Flexible day/night shifts and potential travel are required; NJ/NY wage considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience managing a survey crew.
• Experience in mapping and agency experience projects is a plus
• Excellent communication skills
• Minimum high school diploma
• Capable of completing math calculations
• Flexible to work both day and night shifts, including extended hours and varying schedules
• Valid clean driver's license
• Ability to travel for work is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee a field survey crew.
• Perform assignments requiring standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
• Operate Robotic Total Station and Leica software.
• Responsible for daily survey crew operations.
• Perform layout calculations.
• Work with field equipment including Robotic survey gear and Leica software.
• Conduct control, topographic, and as-built surveys.
• Collect data and process GPS field data.
• Work with Office software (Excel, Word) and Adobe.
• Move data files in a networked environment.
• Maintain survey vehicles and equipment.
