Job summary

Alliant Engineering, Inc. is seeking a Senior Survey Crew Chief to support our survey team, providing measurement and mapping for topographic, boundary, easement, plats, as-built surveys and construction staking.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of crew chief experience, a high school diploma, and a valid Florida driver’s license; proficiency with Total Station, GPS, or leveling tools is valued. Outdoor work with seasonal hours is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; two-year technical survey training preferred.
• Three plus years of previous crew chief experience.
• Valid Florida driver's license with insurability.

Responsibilities

• Adjusts and operates surveying instruments.
• Operates and manages field computer data uploads/downloads.
• Analyzes and compiles notes and data for field or office use.
• Performs staking and related field duties as directed.
• Requires knowledge of measuring, mapping and data collection practices.
• Familiar with Total Station, GPS or Differential Leveling tools.
• Performs specific assignments as directed by the Land Surveyor.
