Job summary

Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc. is seeking a field surveyor to join our on-site team in Maryland. You will lead field crews, record measurements across boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, and coordinate with project managers to ensure accurate data collection.

The ideal candidate has experience with surveying instruments (theodolites, 3D scanners, Topcon controllers) and can work outdoors in varying conditions, maintaining safety protocols on every site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; surveying experience preferred.
• Experience with boundary, topographic, ALTA surveys and stakeouts.
• Experience using surveying instruments and field equipment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise field crew to obtain measurements, sketches, and data for boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.
• Communicate progress with project managers and survey supervisors.
• Guide equipment setup and operation.
• Layout stakes for mapping and documentation.
• Maintain crew safety and use of safety equipment.
