Job summary

Thomas & Hutton in Greenville, SC is seeking a survey crew member to support boundary, topographic, construction staking, and other field surveys. You will operate robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors while assisting with field data collection.

You'll work in a two- to three-person crew, lifting supplies, driving stakes, and maintaining accurate field documentation. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required; prior outdoor work and surveying experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior outdoor environment experience preferred.
• Previous land surveying experience preferred.
• Experience with Carlson SurvCE, robotic total stations, and Trimble GPS equipment a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required (driving role).
• Strong math and attention to detail.
• Written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a two- to three-person survey crew assisting with boundary, topo, construction staking, and other field surveys.
• Operate survey equipment including robotic total stations, GPS equipment, and data collectors.
• Carry supplies, hold equipment, drive stakes, and assist with clearing survey lines as needed.
• Record field measurements and maintain accurate survey documentation.
• Maintain and transport survey equipment safely to and from job sites.
• Coordinate with crew and project teams to complete assignments efficiently and accurately.
