Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of field crew operations experience.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in extreme weather and rough terrain.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time, properly dressed, and prepared to start work.
• Assist Survey Crew Chief in researching and gathering information.
• Clear brush and trees on lines using a machete and brush axe.
• Set up safety signs and cones and wear proper safety equipment.
• Assist in locating metallic markers with magnetic location equipment.
• Set up tripods with optical/laser plummet over points on terrain.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and stocked work truck and data gear.
• Upload and download files to/from the data collector and save points correctly.
