Job summary

Bryant Associates, Inc. is seeking a Survey Instrument Operator for our Baltimore, MD office. This full-time role supports boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of-way, and construction surveys using GPS, robotics, total stations, levels, scanners, and data collectors.

Daily travel to local/regional job sites is required. Candidates must have at least 1 year of survey experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to pass a drug test and driving

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of survey experience required.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; supplemental surveying coursework is a plus.
Must be proficient with survey equipment (GPS, robotics, total stations, levels, scanners, data collectors).
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving record check; ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

Complete site control, boundary reconnaissance, construction staking and topographic surveys.
Perform 3D scanning and other surveying services in support of engineering work.
Review maps, field notes, and exhibits; perform staking calculations for improvements and utilities.
Support surveys for boundary, topographic mapping and construction staking projects.
Assist the Crew Chief with daily crew assignments and work independently when needed.
Operate surveying instruments daily and maintain equipment and supplies.
Travel to local/regional job sites daily and adhere to safety regulations.
