Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design seeks a Crew Chief in Connecticut to lead field survey operations across DOT design, ROW, and topographic projects. You will plan, perform and supervise surveys, mentor junior staff, interpret data, and ensure safety on varied project sites.

Applicants should have 5+ years of field survey experience and at least 2 years as Crew Chief, be proficient with data collectors and total stations, and be prepared to travel to assignments with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of field survey experience and 2+ years as Crew Chief or equivalent.
• Proficient with data collectors, data collection techniques, robotic instruments, total stations and leveling.
• Experience with or ability to learn 3D scanners.
• Self-starter with minimal supervision and able to work in inclement weather.
• Willingness to travel and valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform advanced field surveys within project scope and budget using efficient methods.
• Interact with project site supervisors and client field representatives.
• Prepare accurate field notes and daily activity reports promptly.
• Conduct in-field calculations for stakeout and various land surveys.
• Mentor and train junior field staff to facilitate career advancement.
