Roche is seeking a field-based maintenance technician to support on-site installation, preventative maintenance and updates for Roche products. You will diagnose electro-mechanical, mechanical and software issues and document activity per quality procedures.

The role requires up to 50% travel, supporting Charlotte, NC. A high school diploma with technical training, basic chemistry knowledge, and strong communication and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent training/experience.
• Certified training as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
• Knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organization and prioritization.
• Effective customer service skills and positive attitude.
• Ability to travel up to 50% including overnight travel.

The Opportunity:
This position serves as a resource for the technical maintenance and installation of Roche products for assigned product lines. Performs on-site preventative maintenance, installation, and technical updates (TSB’s) on company product(s). Diagnoses mechanical, hardware, software and system failure, using established procedures as necessary when performing preventative maintenance, installation, and technical updates (TSB’s) activities. Documents all activity in a manner compliant with the company’s quality procedures. Requires specific training and certification. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Duties are generally routine but may include non-routine tasks. You will be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives through daily actions.

This field-based role requires up to 50% travel. This person will support Charlotte, NC.

Who You Are:

• High school diploma and 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience.
• Successfully training or certification as defined by RD Services Leadership and policy.
• Knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, and information technology.
• Knowledge of basic chemistry.
• Good written/verbal communication, organization and prioritization skills.
• Effective customer service skills, which includes a positive attitude and helpful customer interaction.
• Ability to travel, including some overnight travel, is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of electronics, electro-mechanical systems, information technology, and basic chemistry.
• Ability to develop in-depth, technically related troubleshooting skills.Strong written/verbal communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
• Effective customer service skills, highlighted by a positive attitude, helpful interactions, and the ability to maintain ongoing customer relationships.

Relocation benefits are not available for this position.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of North Carolina is 48,600.00 - 90,200.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
