Job summary

Talentify is seeking a field technician to support data communications across Virginia, including Richmond, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia and DC area. The role involves mobile work and a weekday schedule with occasional nights for project or incident support.

You will be on a rotating weekly on-call schedule and may transition to permanent employment after a 6-month trial. A strong基础 in networking and Cisco gear is required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in data communications.
• Must have a basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches, and routers.
• Must have a basic knowledge of local and wide area networking.

Responsibilities

• Travel across VA/Richmond area for field dispatch work.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule.
• Support incidents and projects during/after site hours with advance notice.

Pay Range:

$25.00 to $28.00

Job Description:

• Permanent position may be offered after a minimum of 6 months trial period
• Standard work hours
• Field Dispatch work is generally Monday - Friday/Saturday and mostly daytime but some nights may be requested for project work and/or incident support work after the sites have closed for the day. Must be available for weekend project work when requested. Advance notice is given whenever possible.
• Tech must be available to be on a rotating weekly on call schedule
• Type / Location: Mobile worker / State of Virginia between cities near Richmond, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC.
