Job summary

Vestas in the United States seeks a Field Support Lead to oversee the Field Support team during wind project construction and connection to the grid. You will mentor on-site FSCs and TCs, ensuring safe, efficient operations and strict adherence to company procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating across projects, driving safety, training staff, maintaining compliance, and reporting project status to leadership. Expect frequent travel to support multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Vestas wind site support; project management and training experience required.
• Experienced in SAP ERP in roles such as dispatch/planner, stock keeper, front desk, and forecasting/planning.
• Strong planning, logistics, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence standard processes.
• Lean experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Field Support team (3–5 employees, 3–5 contractors).
• Provide direction, guidance, workload prioritization, and resource allocation.
• Align efforts across projects and sites for efficient operations.
• Champion safety policies and environmental stewardship initiatives.
• Maintain safe, organized work environments with hazard identification and risk mitigation.
• Lead daily safety meetings on-site or remotely.
• Train and mentor FSCs and TCs; identify skill gaps and coach.
• Train third-party contractors on FSC/TC processes and expectations.
• Promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing across the organization.
• Ensure compliance with processes and work instructions; manage NCRs in SAP.
• Provide project status updates to leadership; participate in closeout audits.
