We are seeking a technically strong and highly customer-oriented Field Support Engineer (FSE) to work directly with customers across the United States. The FSE will be responsible for taking Tsecond solutions from the lab to real-world customer environments-installing, integrating, configuring, troubleshooting, demonstrating, and validating systems at customer sites. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical capabilities combined with excellent customer-facing and communication skills. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working directly with customer engineering teams, understanding requirements, troubleshooting complex issues, and communicating technical solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. US Citizenship is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and integrate Tsecond solutions - including server, storage, edge compute, AI systems, and the Micro-R CAN bus receiver and vehicle sensor telemetry platform - at customer and field locations.
- Work directly with customer engineering, IT, infrastructure, and technical teams to understand requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Lead customer-site installations, configurations, demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, storage, GPU, OS, and application integration issues.
- Configure and validate Linux/Windows operating systems, storage platforms, networking, containers, virtualization, and AI/ML workloads.
- Work closely with Tsecond product and engineering teams to resolve field issues and drive product improvements.
- Develop and execute deployment, validation, and test plans.
- Support customer evaluations, technical workshops, and roadshows.
- Create and maintain deployment documentation, architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and test reports.
- Translate customer requirements and feedback into actionable input for internal engineering teams.
- Represent Tsecond professionally at customer sites and become a trusted technical point of contact.
- Support RFP/RFI responses and technical solution development when required.
- Travel extensively within the US based on customer and project requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in field engineering, systems engineering, solutions engineering, deployment engineering, infrastructure engineering, or a related technical role.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems, server infrastructure, and Linux administration/debugging.
- Good understanding of servers, storage, networking, and data-center/edge infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of NAS, SAN, Object Storage, or distributed storage technologies, including protocols such as NFS/SMB/S3.
- Experience with GPUs, AI/ML infrastructure, or high-performance computing is highly desirable.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, virtualization, or cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware/software integration issues independently, including reading system logs and identifying root causes.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills, including the ability to lead presentations and confidently convey technical issues, solutions, risks, and recommendations to customers.
- Ability to work independently in customer environments with limited supervision.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively across the United States.
- Experience deploying storage, compute, and IT edge systems - including data recorders and sensors - at US defense locations and on military tactical vehicles.
- Experience configuring and deploying network systems such as switches and routers.
- Experience with sensor protocols such as CAN, MODBUS, RS485, Analog, and Digital.
- Experience debugging electrical and mechanical aspects of sensors and data recorders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting US government, defense, federal, DoD, or enterprise customers.
- Experience working in customer environments requiring security or compliance controls, including familiarity with NIST, FIPS, FedRAMP, or related frameworks.
- Experience with NVIDIA GPUs, CUDA, AI/ML platforms, or edge AI systems; strong knowledge of AI software and hardware deployments is a plus.
- Experience with distributed infrastructure and storage platforms (e.g., Ceph, Kubernetes, OpenStack, NVMe/NVMe-oF) or cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
