Job summary

Atec, Inc. in Texas is seeking a capable engineer/technician to research and sustain electrical, electronic, and mechanical designs of existing products and build-to-print jobs.

You will assist field installation and ongoing maintenance, ensuring compliance with AS9100/ISO standards. You will review drawings and BOMs, update records, and use ERP to requisition parts and track production, while traveling to field sites for installations and service, maintaining customer relationships throughout

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) or Mechanical (BSMET) preferred.
• 4–8 years’ experience with applicable Engineering Applications.
• Computer literate in Word, Excel; CAD experience (CAD or AutoCAD Lite). MIL-SPEC/DOD-STD-100 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sustain electrical and mechanical designs of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
• Review and modify drawings and BOMs to reflect design updates from engineering.
• Use ERP to create purchase requisitions, order parts, and track production parts.
• Determine methods and procedures for testing products to verify operability.
• Travel to assist field installation and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Prepare and ship products for domestic and international travel.
• Maintain customer relationships during installations and service.
• Follow AS9100/ISO policies and report deviations.
