Job summary

Atec is seeking an engineer to sustain and update electrical and mechanical designs, manage BOMs, and support field installation and maintenance activities. The role emphasizes CAD proficiency, familiarity with MIL-SPECs, and ERP-based procurement processes.

The candidate should bring a BSEET/BSMET or 4–8 years of related experience, with willingness to travel for field work and to ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO standards. Texas driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred, or 4–8 years of applicable engineering experience.
• CAD proficiency including AutoCAD Lite; MIL-SPECs and DOD-STD-100 familiarity is a plus.
• Experience with ERP usage for requisitions, purchasing, and tracking parts is valued.

Responsibilities

• Sustain existing electrical and mechanical designs to support company goals.
• Review and update drawings and BOMs reflecting design updates from engineering.
• Use ERP to create purchase requisitions, order parts, and track production parts.
• Determine testing methods and procedures to verify operability and functionality.
• Travel to support field installations and preventative maintenance.
