Job summary

UES, Inc. is seeking a hands‑on Field Supervisor to lead and grow its Construction Materials Testing team in the Kansas City market. You will mentor technicians, maintain high safety standards, and ensure daily field operations run smoothly with strong leadership and technical guidance.

The role emphasizes developing people, coordinating staffing, and keeping projects on track through practical judgment and reliability. Travel and field presence are expected to support project needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with a welding certificate program or vocational training
• 5+ years of experience in field operations with valid driver’s license
• Active ICC Certifications or EIT licensure, CWI certification preferred
• Strong mathematical, time management, and problem‑solving skills with a focus on quality

Responsibilities

• Lead routine field tests and inspections of soil, concrete, asphalt, steel and/or wood framing at job sites
• Determine and reinforce code and job specification compliance for structural concrete and related systems
• Compile and present detailed reports, diagrams, and findings
• Operate and maintain a motor vehicle including routine maintenance
• Communicate with dispatch, engineers, and field supervisors regarding job status
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to protect oneself and others in the work environment
