Job summary

Koorsen Fire & Security Inc. in Nashville, TN is seeking a Field Supervisor - Fire Alarm with 4–8 years lead life-safety experience and 5+ years in fire alarm repair to join our team.

You will provide daily field support and coordinate with project managers and subcontractors to ensure code compliance and high-quality service. This role requires NICET I, knowledge of software/panel programming, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field support and measure the performance of technicians.
• Work with project managers and sub-contractors as needed.
• Must be able to source, understand, and interpret industry codes and standards.
• Ensure technicians are participating in all Koorsen and vendor-required training.
• Provide coaching and motivation to help develop team members.
• Must be organized and have the ability to make adjustments in the schedule to assist with department coverage needs.
• Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
• Demonstrate an understanding of and follow all safety regulations and practices.
• Open-minded willingness for continual learning.
• Follow all Koorsen policies, procedures, and core values.
• Any other duties deemed appropriate by management.

Up to $35/hour, depending upon experience

Required:

• 4 to 8 years of lead experience in the life safety industry
• 5+ years in fire alarm repair
• Must have knowledge of software and panel programming
• At least a NICET I certification
• Able to meet state licensing requirements and vendor certifications
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Pass drug and background screenings
• Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

• Multiple NICET's in each discipline preferred

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools
• Must be able to effectively use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
• Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.; push and pull greater than 75 lbs.
• Climb a ladder reaching a height of at least 12 feet, use a man lift, and reach heights exceeding 40 feet to perform services
• Exposure to outside weather conditions, temperature changes, and loud noises
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
