Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent; AA in water technology preferred.
• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in a water utility; 4+ years as crew lead or 2+ years supervisor; larger utility preferred.
• Thorough understanding of means-and-methods/standards-of-practice in water utility construction.
• Knowledge of Washington State laws/regulations governing public water utilities.
• Familiarity with procurement regulations including public works/prevailing wage requirements.

Field Supervisor Highline Water District is recruiting for a full-time Field Supervisor position. Hourly Pay Range: $60.12 to $78.08 (Annual $125,052-$162,398) with benefits. Position placement and pay dependent on qualifications and experience. Position will be open until filled. EOE.

Education and Knowledge

• HS Diploma, GED or equivalent, Associates degree (A.A.) in water technology and resource management, or similar field is preferred
• Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in a water utility, including four (4) or more years as a crew lead or two (2) or more years of supervisor or manager: OR any combination of experience and education which demonstrates competency to perform essential duties and responsibilities of the position. Working in a medium or large water utility (>10,000 service connections), preferred
• Thorough understanding of the means-and-methods/standards-of-practice applied in water utility construction
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations governing public water utilities in Washington State
• Familiarity of procurement regulations including public works/prevailing wage requirements

Additional Requirements

• Valid Washington State driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Water Certifications: Water Distribution Manager (WDM) III and Cross Connection Control Specialist (CCS) OR must obtain within 6 months of hire
• Other Certification and Training: First Aid/CPR, Forklift, Trenching and Shoring Competent Person, Confined Space Entry, Traffic Control-Flagging, Traffic Control-Supervisor, and Asbestos Cement- Pipe Worker OR must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
