Job summary

Satterfield & Pontikes Construction, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for a Corpus Christi project. You will support day-to-day field execution under the Superintendent, coordinate trade partners, and uphold safety, quality, and schedule discipline.

You will learn oversight and field communication while developing methods to improve efficiency. This is a developmental role for future field leadership on larger scopes of work.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• Three + years of construction experience.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Orient new site personnel to the company and project.
• Help the Superintendent manage project equipment, coordinate, schedule and manage all subcontractors and vendors.
• Help maintain accurate timekeeping and cost records.
• Supervise self-perform work and develop special construction methods for job efficiency.
• Help comply with jobsite reporting requirements, including daily/weekly/monthly updates.
• Familiarize with shop drawings and submittals and assist with contract documents and reporting.
• Attend required job site meetings and maintain safety standards.
• Participate in close out of the project and ensure quality.
• Support constructability knowledge and update the schedule with the team.
