Job summary

Kiewit’s South Central District in the United States seeks a Superintendent to serve as on-site representative and primary contact for grading operations. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise scheduling, material control, and field direction to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality work.

This role supports infrastructure initiatives across Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi, collaborating with our Infrastructure and Power groups to build utility infrastructure and improve energy

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local materials.
• 5+ years' work experience in the construction industry, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand work directions and communicate effectively with management and fellow employees.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team by providing input to identify key success factors, timing of design and procurement deliverables, and establishing common work breakdown.
• Provide leadership to create organizational structure and processes required to execute services; responsible for execution, quality, subcontractor performance, and cost.
• Evaluate execution for contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality; advise on status, issues, risks, and cost influence factors on to-go scope.
• Monitor safety orientations and safety indoctrinations, provide coaching for improvement.
• Monitor crews for organizational structure, sizing, crew mix ratios, and wage compliance.
• Review cost and man-hour budget for installation; develop staff, facilities, equipment, and tool requirement plan.
• Direct knowledge in roads, highways, and bridges with Maintenance of Traffic, Erosion Control and Safety Training.
• Bilingual proficiency a plus.
