Job summary

Sundt is seeking a Construction Supervisor to manage day-to-day field activities, supervising craft employees and subcontractors while aligning with the project schedule. The role emphasizes safety, cost control, quality, and lean planning across multiple crews and scopes of work.

Responsibilities include shop drawing review, subcontractor coordination, risk management, and continuous improvement of field processes.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Minimum of two years supervisory experience in similar construction technology, methods, equipment, tools, and work procedures.
• Understanding construction scheduling and cost control and the ability to supervise employees and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Assists in or conducts review of shop drawings and design conflicts, manages Quality Control and Safety, and coordinates subcontractors.
• Assists in selecting equipment, construction methods, and sequencing of operations.
• Conducts subcontractor meetings and LEAN planning implementations.
• Performs daily risk management analysis with project leaders for timely mitigation.
• Ensures environmental control processes are understood and corrective action taken when necessary.
• Emphasizes a culture of safety and enforces the safety plan.
• Enforces the project management plan to align field activities with policies.
• Manages project control activities and costs to ensure successful execution.
• On self-perform projects, develops and manages craft field teams and training.
• Oversees manpower, equipment, material, and subcontract coordination per project schedule.
• Participates in business development and preconstruction activities as directed.
• Maintains detailed schedules for areas of responsibility and communicates changes daily.
• Reviews time sheets, quantity reporting, and daily costs; completes daily reporting per SMS.
• Uses reports to manage project scope and supports Monthly Progress Reports.
