Job summary

DPR Construction is seeking a Senior Field Superintendent to lead the day-to-day field execution on complex construction projects in Maryland. You will coordinate with project managers, trade partners, and self-perform teams to maintain safety, quality, and schedule while applying advanced superintendent knowledge.

In this role, you will review daily reports, look-ahead plans, and coordination logs; identify constructability improvements and prefabrication opportunities; and mentor field team

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in field operations or construction supervision.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred; OSHA 30-Hour required within 6 months of hire.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads day-to-day field execution for assigned scopes of work on complex projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinates with project managers, superintendents, self-perform teams, and trade partners to resolve complex field issues and maintain construction momentum.
• Guides field logistics, site utilization, and work sequencing to optimize productivity and minimize disruptions.
• Oversees implementation of safety plans and quality control measures, addressing elevated risks and escalating critical concerns as needed.
• Reviews and validates field documentation, including daily reports, look-ahead plans, and coordination logs, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
• Identifies and supports integration of prefabrication and alternative construction methods to improve efficiency, safety, and quality.
• Provides informal mentorship and technical guidance to field team members and peers without assuming formal management/coaching responsibilities.

Education

Influences project outcomes by identifying constructability improvements, sequencing efficiencies, and prefabrication opportunities. Contributes to continuous improvement by sharing field insights and leading practices with project teams.

Education Qualifications

Associate's degree in construction management, engineering, a related field, or equivalent experience required.

Work Experience

7 years of experience in field operations, construction supervision, or a related field required. Experience supporting complex projects with multiple trade partners preferred.

Certifications and Licenses

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety certification within 6 months of hire required.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 certification preferred.
