Dewberry is seeking a Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) / Survey Technician to join our Charlotte, NC team and support field operations across the state. You will perform field assignments, operate utility locating equipment, read construction plans, and contribute to accurate deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are dependable, self-motivated, and comfortable working outdoors, with willingness to travel and pass a driving record background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with SUE is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with field equipment and GPS is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel as needed.
• Must pass a driving record background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform field assignments including vacuum excavation and utility designation.
• Operate utility locating equipment and document results.
• Read and interpret construction plans and utility records.
• Adhere to health and safety standards and complete paperwork accurately.
• Collaborate with Dewberry's SUE and surveying teams.
