Hitachi Energy USA INC. in Raleigh, NC invites engineers to join as Automation Commissioning Junior Engineer. You will support testing, integration, and commissioning of substation automation systems across modern power grids.

Through structured training and field exposure, you’ll learn IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, and related protocols while collaborating with engineers, project teams, and customers on site and in hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience; internships considered.
• Basic understanding of electric power systems.

Responsibilities

• Support testing, integration, and commissioning of substation automation systems.
• Assist with FAT/SAT activities.
• Travel up to 80% for on-site commissioning.
