Job summary

StructureCare is seeking a Field Engineering Technician to support our structural inspection process. You will work with the engineering team to collect deterioration and defect data in the field, using 360 video walks and tablets to document conditions for review.

The role also covers field duties such as leak surveys, non-destructive testing, safety audits, and assisting with project management and reporting. Travel within a few hours of home base and occasional overnight stays are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher is required.
• Experience in building/construction fields is preferred.
• Familiarization with structural components and field construction.
• Proficient with tablets and mobile devices for data capture.
• Able to work independently or in a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to spend significant time in the field; occasional overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct walk-through surveys, capturing photos and videos of structures.
• Record observations with tablets and 360 cameras for engineering review.
• Perform chloride ion sampling as part of inspections.
• Carry out nondestructive testing and locating tasks.
• Assist in preparing field drawings and preliminary reports.
• Support project management with site visits and surveys.
