Criterium-Twin Cities Engineers seeks a Building Diagnostics & Structural Engineer, P.E. to evaluate existing residential and light‑commercial buildings. This home‑based role combines field work in the Twin Cities with report preparation from a home office, offering flexible full‑time or part‑time scheduling and supportive project teams.

The ideal candidate is a Minnesota‑licensed P.E. with strong observational and communication skills, able to deliver clear, defensible reports and practical

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, structural, or mechanical engineering required.
• Active Minnesota Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain within 6–12 months.
• Experience evaluating/res inspecting residential or light‑commercial buildings; ability to communicate conclusions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations of residential and light‑commercial buildings, including structural and envelope concerns.
• Document site conditions with notes, photos, measurements.
• Prepare clear, defensible client reports using templates and QA procedures.
• Conduct or review limited residential/light‑commercial structural calculations and repair details.
• Explain findings and recommendations clearly to clients.
