Job Description
This position requires advanced level technology skills to work independently and provide strategic analysis and consultative support for servicing, maintaining, repairing, and developing solutions for a wide variety of company products and services. It also includes new business development and various support and solution functions as assigned or developed.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Technical
- Perform advanced solutions skill services configuring, installing, troubleshooting, networking, maintaining, and training as assigned in the area of expertise on a wide variety of products and services.
- Serve as a consultant and strategic professional, solving high‑end product and repetitive problems/issues.
- Lead others in technical or problem‑sharing efforts; instruct on processes and demonstrate leadership in handling complex situations.
- Proactively seek volume‑building opportunities to increase utilization of Ricoh equipment, supplies, and services.
- Assemble, adjust, maintain, and share expertise on products according to specifications and documentation; perform the same for equipment operations.
Customer Services
- Understand and promote Ricoh’s support functions and offerings; anticipate and manage customer needs across all area levels.
- Manage own time and schedule and assist others in supporting multiple solutions time/schedule.
- Maintain and lead productive professional relationships with all customers and Ricoh personnel, contributing to overall team success.
Manage Workload
- Execute all required workload management and call‑handling procedures using current field call management requirements.
- Perform a full range of services including customer training, equipment and workflow observation, and solution presentation for improved methods.
Administrative
- Maintain a full workload, meeting response times, repair times, quality objectives, and cost control metrics.
- Comply with all company policies and complete administrative tasks accurately and timely, assisting others as required.
- Maintain required logs, processes and reports as assigned.
- Record all time and activity in the proper tracking system.
- Maintain a car stock and/or customer on‑site inventory as assigned or necessary.
Results
- Achieve expected productivity levels associated with the assigned workload and experience level.
- Actively participate in Ricoh Extra Value program opportunities as defined (CS212, etc.) and bill accordingly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certifications)
- Valid state driver’s license and the minimum level of auto insurance coverage required by Ricoh policy for positions involving extensive vehicle use.
- High school diploma; completed courses and experience involving computers, electronics, mechanics, basic networking, connectivity, and printing software applications are desired.
- Meet the requirements listed in the Technology Services Training Role Inventory and Certification Program for the assigned role as defined by the manager.

Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands
- Extensive travel in an automobile between customer locations is usually required; travel may be by foot in a limited urban area. All travel may occur in a wide variety of weather conditions and may include working outdoors.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
- Move objects on wheels up to 400 pounds and lift objects up to 50 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required.
- Require dexterity; regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination).
- Shift work, overtime, stand‑by and/or on‑call may be required.
- Work has periodic stress related to deadlines, performance expectations, and an increased volume of service calls.
