Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa (CCMI) offers an AmeriCorps Field Specialist role in a National/State program. You will train and coordinate members, support project hosts, and lead service-learning efforts across land management initiatives in Iowa and Minnesota.

The position runs 01/04/2027 - 12/15/2027 as a full-time assignment through AmeriCorps State/National, with an emphasis on teamwork, service, and disaster-related environmental projects in field settings.

Qualifications

• AmeriCorps Members receive training and leadership support.
• First Aid and disaster-related services are emphasized.
• Experience or interest in trade/construction is beneficial.

Conservation Corps Minnesota & Iowa (CCMI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and AmeriCorps grantee that engages hundreds of youth and young adults each year in programs and initiatives that improve access to outdoor recreation, restore natural habitat, protect waterways, and respond to community needs and natural disasters. Our mission is to cultivate a community of emerging leaders in service to people and the planet.

Member Duties :

The AmeriCorps Field Specialist provides training, education, coordination, and leadership to AmeriCorps Members and other participants. The Field Specialist will help fellow AmeriCorps members achieve personal and program success through the principles of teamwork and service-learning. Specialists must be responsive to instructions and feedback delivered by the Field Coordinator, Program Staff, and project hosts from land management agencies such as the DNR, USFWS, NPS, SWCDs, cities and counties.
