Job summary

NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC is seeking a Site Development Inspector to support commercial development in the Naples, Florida area. You will perform field inspections and construction observations to ensure work follows approved plans, permits, and municipal requirements.

The ideal candidate will read civil plans, identify site features, and learn through NOVA's training and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret civil construction drawings, site plans, utility plans, grading plans, and construction specifications.
• Read and interpret civil site plans to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Identify property lines, ROW boundaries, utility corridors, stormwater systems and other site features shown on plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and construction observations on commercial development, utility, and public infrastructure projects.
• Read and interpret civil plans to verify compliance with requirements.
• Identify and verify property lines, ROW lines, utility corridors, and stormwater systems.
• Observe construction activities related to utilities, roadways, drainage, grading, and site development.
• Document field conditions with daily reports, photos, measurements, and inspection records.
• Communicate field observations to project managers, contractors, engineers, and municipal representatives.
• Assist with elevations, utility locations, grading, drainage flow patterns, and site layout using plans and field measurements.
• Support project closeout activities, final inspections, and punch-list verification.
• Promote safe work practices and site safety compliance.
