Job summary

Canadian Pacific Railway in Artesia, MS seeks a hands-on Supervisor Signals & Communications to ensure safe, reliable operation of state‑of‑the‑art signals and telecommunications systems across the network.

The role is 100% field-based, requiring 4+ years in telecom or rail signaling, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license. You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and document systems in varied outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 2 years of technical college
• Minimum 4 years of experience in telecommunications or railway signaling
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license
• Completion of an accredited electrical training program (community college, trade school, military, associate degree)
• Excellent communication abilities, capable of clear instructions over phone and radio

Responsibilities

• Support installation, maintenance, and support of telecommunications systems (VHF, microwave, PTC) for peak reliability
• Collaborate with data network team to sustain system functionality and troubleshoot issues
• Assist in maintaining cameras, desktops, printers, and Wi‑Fi at assigned locations
• Manage and document communication workflows across the rail network
• Perform electrical installations and revisions on S&C equipment ensuring safety and reliability
• Maintain 24/7 readiness; respond promptly to urgent situations
• Work 100% in the field, indoors and outdoors, autonomously or as part of a team
