Job summary

JD Signs is seeking a Field Operations Technician to join our installation and service team across the region. This role installs, maintains, services, and repairs commercial signage at customer sites.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to work safely at heights and outdoors. You will collaborate with installation leads, project managers and production teams to deliver quality signage projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move materials safely.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Dependable work ethic and attendance.
• Commitment to safety, quality craftsmanship, and customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial signage according to drawings and project instructions.
• Perform sign service, maintenance, and repair work.
• Conduct field surveys and document measurements and site conditions.
• Troubleshoot installation and service issues.
• Safely operate company vehicles, trailers, lifts, and equipment.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Represent JD Signs professionally at customer locations.
• Communicate respectfully with customers and contractors.
• Maintain clean and organized jobsites.
• Protect customer property and company equipment.
• Complete work documentation accurately.
• Support team members and daily field operations.
• Participate in training and skill development opportunities.
• Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
