Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair construction machines, components, and assemblies in the shop and field.
• Develop repair plans and determine necessary parts and tools.
• Perform repairs safely and correctly, including quality assurance testing.
• Complete reports for parts, tooling, service, and work orders promptly.
• Communicate repair progress with supervisors.
• Manage parts and tools through company systems and maintain a safe, clean work environment.
• Follow safety guidelines and company policies.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.; Associate Degree in Diesel or Equipment Technology preferred or four years of apprenticeship.
• Experience, knowledge, and competence determine technician classification.

Physical and Work Environment

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, and perform physical tasks. Work often involves exposure to mechanical parts, weather conditions, noise, and airborne particles. Reasonable accommodations available for disabilities.
