Job summary

The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in Athens is hiring a Veterinary Assistant II for Field Services/Theriogenology. You will assist with daily in-house and on-site appointments, handle large animals, and help maintain records and charges for the department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
• Preferred qualifications include experience handling large animals, primarily horses.

Responsibilities

• Assist the theriogenology and field services department with daily in-house and on-site appointments.
• Maintain and stock equipment for theriogenology service and assist with records and charges.
• Handle and restrain large animals and assist with lameness exams, surgeries, radiology, and embryo transfer.
• Support staff with patient care, stock maintenance, animal transport, and use VetView/Cubex for records and dispensing.
