Job summary

Silent-Aire, a Johnson Controls division, seeks a Field Services Technician Level 1 in Wenatchee, WA. The role requires reading electrical and mechanical blueprints, assembling HVAC components, startup/testing, and troubleshooting PLC-based controls at customer sites.

Travel domestically and internationally; safety-focused and team-oriented environment. You will collaborate with design, QA and manufacturing teams to optimize products and ensure top service quality for clients.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of cooling/refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Knowledge of electricity and solid state control systems.
• Knowledge of safety practices and building codes.
• Customer service skills.
• Experience with startup and commissioning at customer facilities.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and schematics.
• Maintain records and reports.
• Passport/driver’s license validity.
• Aptitude for working independently.
• Technical knowledge of design/construction codes and standards.
• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift 40lbs and work from heights.
• Experience in sensitive/mission-critical facilities.
• IOL/industrial, manufacturing facilities and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical, control and mechanical blueprints and specs.
• Install refrigeration or AC components with hand and power tools.
• Start up systems and test for leaks; recharge refrigerant.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/refrigeration equipment and PLC-based controls.
• Communicate technical issues to diverse stakeholders.
• Split time between field customer interfacing and manufacturing teams.
• Provide feedback to design, QA and manufacturing engineering teams.
