Job Description
Here are some of the tasks that our field service technicians do each day:
- Perform minor maintenance, repairs, and component replacement at the module level.
- Maintain parts inventory and related records.
- Provide status reports throughout the service repair.
- Diagnose problems based on the information provided in the call and through the error logs on the ATM.
- Take ownership of customer issues until resolution according to SLA agreements.
- Practice security safety procedures when working with ATMs and within financial institutions.
- Complete NCR-specific training and certifications.
- Report calls and activities accurately and promptly, along with other required reporting.
The Field Service Technician position may require the following:
- Bending, squatting, walking, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Prolonged travel based on your service area.
- Lifting and carrying tools or parts weighing between 1-50 lbs.
- Dispatch on a call-by-call basis or follow a daily schedule.
- Work on rotating shifts, nights, and weekends.
Industry experience preferred: Mechanical/hands-on work.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, 0-1 years of related experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- A smartphone (Android or iPhone) to receive work orders and access support documentation.
- Basic tools, including #1 and #2 flathead and Phillips screwdrivers.
Required Availability, Experience, and Skills:
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts.
- High integrity and ability to work independently.
- Basic electrical and mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
- Good problem-solving skills, quick learner, and ability to work under pressure.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree preferred.
- Previous experience with NCR or similar equipment is a plus.
Note: Mileage is not reimbursable; include this in your pay rates.
Location: Remote, 5 days a week in Syracuse/Binghamton area.
