Job summary

Matanuska Telephone Association, Inc. is seeking a Field Services Install & Repair Technician to install and maintain residential and business services at the Palmer Plant.

You will complete service orders, perform wiring installs, and validate OSP facilities, FTTH, and XDSL in real-world settings. The role requires safe operation of tools and vehicles, ability to climb poles, excellent customer relations, and strict adherence to safety code.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation and repair of telecommunications services.
• Ability to install and troubleshoot FTTH, XDSL, and telecom equipment.
• Strong understanding of safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and rearrange wiring and equipment for residential and business customers.
• Complete service orders and report status to supervisor daily.
• Troubleshoot and repair outside plant copper and fiber facilities; perform central office duties as needed.
