Job summary

Matanuska-Susitna Borough is seeking an experienced Field Service Installation and Repair Technician for our Palmer Plant Bldg facility. You will install and repair MTA services for residential and business customers, working in outside plant copper and fiber facilities and performing wiring installation and validation.

The role involves completing service orders, driving adherence to safety standards, and reporting status to management.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Installation and Repair Technician preferred.
• 3,000 hours I& R experience within the last five years preferred.
• Ability to pass a telephony general knowledge and safety test.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair MTA services for residential and business customers.
• Complete service orders and repairs under supervision.
• Work in Outside Plant copper and fiber facilities and perform wiring installation and validation.
• Maintain tools and testing apparatus in good condition.
