Job summary

Teksky LLC in Milwaukee, WI seeks a Field Service Engineer to install, commission, troubleshoot, and maintain renewable energy systems onsite. You will support energy storage, PV, power electronics, mechanical systems, and low-voltage electrical work.

Responsibilities include on-site installation, wiring practices, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, calibration, and creating SOPs. Strong reading of P&ID diagrams and safety compliance required.

Qualifications

  • Technical degree (AS/BS) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power, Power Electronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Hands-on experience of relevant field service, installation, commissioning, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical power, mechanical systems, and power electronics.
  • Experience with energy storage systems, inverters, switchgear, batteries, and/or PV panels.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, local codes, permitting, and electrical/mechanical safety procedures.
  • Ability to read electrical, mechanical, control, wiring, and P&ID diagrams.
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment, including multi-meters and oscilloscopes.
  • Familiarity with communication/control protocols, Wi-Fi, IP addresses, and communication connections.

Job description

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of renewable energy systems, including energy storage, PV, power electronics, mechanical systems, and low-voltage AC/DC electrical systems. This role provides onsite field support, develops installation and troubleshooting procedures, and supports third-party training.
