Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Field Services Driver with a CDL B license to safely transport hazardous waste across multiple client sites. You will actively participate in loading, unloading, labeling drums, and completing regulatory paperwork.

The role offers a $7,000 sign-on bonus and a starting pay of $25/hour with overtime opportunities. Overnight travel is minimal and overtime is required, creating a stable but active schedule.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience.
• Valid CDL Class B license required.
• Hazmat, air brake and tanker endorsements required.
• Must wear PPE and be clean-shaven due to respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum trucks, straight trucks, and roll-off trailers safely in DOT compliance.
• Load and unload trucks; ensure proper weight distribution and securement.
• Label containers and complete hazardous waste documentation and manifests at each stop.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle and communicate professionally with customers.
• Respond to hazardous waste spills and assist with paperwork.
• Complete daily logs and regulatory paperwork for every load.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

As a Field Services Driver, you will play a hands‑on role in the safe transport and handling of hazardous waste materials across multiple customer sites. This is not a sit‑behind‑the‑wheel role—our drivers are active contributors to each job from start to finish, including loading and unloading, container labeling, waste sorting, and completion of regulatory paperwork.

$7000 Sign on Bonus Available!

Pay: Pay for this role starts at $25/hour. CDL drivers with experience can earn more depending on experience.

Schedule & Travel

• Guaranteed 40 hours per week; overtime is required
• Overnight travel expected approximately 2 times per month (1–2 nights per trip)

A Day in the Life

While no two days are exactly the same, a typical day may look like this:

• Arrive at the office and collect job paperwork
• Load required supplies and equipment for the day's jobs
• Drive to customer sites throughout the day
• Label drums, sort waste streams, and complete hazardous waste manifests at each stop
• Respond to emergency spills
• Submit completed paperwork and assist with unloading the truck as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Operate vacuum trucks, straight trucks, and roll‑off trailers safely and in compliance with DOT regulations
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement
• Accurately label containers and complete all required hazardous waste documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle
• Communicate professionally with customers at each stop
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and compliance standards
• Completes manifests, company documentation, and other marking and placarding documents for every load managed
• Maintain a logbook for DOT compliance
• Maintain ability to operate high‑velocity vacuum trucks and all attachments

Education

• High‑school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of CDL driving experience
• Valid CDL Class B license
• Hazmat endorsement required
• Air brake endorsement required
• Tanker endorsement required
• This role requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a respirator. Due to respirator requirements, employees must be clean‑shaven.
