Job summary

RMS is seeking a Field Service Welder to join our Perris, CA team. You will perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding on rotating turbomachinery components, ensuring compliance with drawings, specs, and quality standards.

The role supports production, emphasizes safety, and requires readiness for overtime and travel. Responsibilities include setting up equipment, inspecting welds, recording measurements, and collaborating with Quality and Production to resolve non-conformities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience related to compressor or turbine rotors / components.
• TIG Welding (GTAW) proficiency and ARC welding.
• PWHT setup knowledge and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding of carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy materials per drawings and specs.
• Fabricate centrifugal compressor impellers via slot and fillet welding; inspect and record measurements.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and adhere to safety and quality requirements.
