Job summary

Valcourt Group is seeking personnel for waterproofing installation and related restoration work. Responsibilities include executing waterproofing treatments, conducting leak investigations, and performing repairs on structures.

The role requires physical fitness and the ability to work at heights using lifts and scaffolds; training will be provided. Ideal candidates will have 2-5 years of waterproofing experience and a solid understanding of roofing and coating materials.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in waterproofing or related field.
• Strong understanding of roofing, waterproofing and coatings materials is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Waterproofing & Restoration work.
• Perform leak investigations, water testing & repairs for water infiltration.
• Install waterproofing treatment using equipment per established procedures.
• Assist in waterproofing application and work with a range of waterproofing chemicals and coating products.
• Perform minor exterior repairs for concrete, masonry, sealant, and waterproofing issues on buildings and parking structures.
• Use boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, ladders, or bosun chair when reaching heights; training provided.
• Perform integrity testing and troubleshoot defects in waterproofing membranes/coatings.
• Ensure tools and equipment are in working order and arrange replacements as needed.
• Adhere to health and safety practices and regulations.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Waterproofing & Restoration work.
• Perform Leak Investigations, Water testing & repairs for water infiltration.
• Install waterproofing treatment using equipment in accordance with established procedures and practices.
• Assist in waterproofing application and work with a range of waterproofing chemicals and coating products.
• Perform minor exterior repairs for concrete, masonry, sealant, and waterproofing issues on buildings and parking structures.
• Access to work areas may require the use of boom lifts, scissor lifts, swing stage, scaffolds, ladders, or bosun chair, to reach great heights inside and outside of buildings under construction. Training will be provided.
• Perform integrity testing and troubleshooting testing to identify any breeches or defects in the project’s existing waterproofing membrane/coatings.
• Ensure all tools, supplies, and equipment are in working order, and arrange for replacements as necessary.
• Adhere to all health and safety practices and procedures.
• Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, including building, trade, fire, and construction codes, as well as company policies.

Required Skills/Abilities

• High degree of physical fitness and endurance to complete physical aspects of the job, including the ability to lift objects weighing up to 25kg.
• Strong understanding of roofing, waterproofing and coatings materials a plus.

Education And Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in waterproofing or related field

Physical Requirements

• Required to work outdoors in a wide range of weather conditions.
• May occasionally come in contact with unpleasant or hazardous materials.
• May occasionally require safety procedures when working at height.
