Job summary

Staab Construction Corporation in Wisconsin is seeking a field service technician to install, repair, and maintain mechanical systems at customer sites. You will travel to job sites and work with pumps, piping, valves, and controls to ensure proper operation.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting by phone, commissioning equipment, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Candidates should have knowledge of piping and plumbing, experience with wastewater operations, and strong mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pipelaying and plumbing.
• Prior experience in wastewater operations
• Ability to travel and stay away from home 3-4 nights/week
• Good mechanical skills.
• Prior education in construction systems and processes helpful. Knowledge or experience with wastewater and water treatment or other water control systems is preferred.
• Read, interpret, and understand drawings of process treatment systems, piping, equipment, structures, electrical distribution and controls.
• Must have good customer relation skills

Responsibilities

• Meets customer needs by working in-house or at the customers site, attending to the needs of the customer whenever required.
• Provides telephone support to the customer in order to perform troubleshooting or corrective action suggestions.
• Installs and repairs various types of mechanicals and structures along with associated electrical and controls.
• Performs commissioning and start‑up testing to ensure product functionality. Ensuring that the equipment on which they have performed service is in proper working condition.
