Job summary

VFP is seeking a field service technician to travel to customer sites for installation and repairs per requests or warranty, with up to three weeks away per assignment. The role requires performing tasks with minimal supervision and strong problem-solving abilities.

The technician will interpret engineering drawings, electrical prints, and schematics, and install electrical and HVAC components while coordinating with customers in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of electrical work and HVAC.
• Knowledge of framing/finishing.
• Ability to coordinate high activity under varying conditions.
• Knowledge of electrical wiring standards and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Travel weekly and be gone up to three weeks at a time.
• Interpret engineering drawings, electrical prints and schematics.
• Install electrical wiring, HVAC components and related systems.
• Handle framing/finishing tasks and concrete repairs as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and follow instructions.
