Job summary

Matthews Memorialization is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform on-site installation, training, repair and preventative maintenance on our memorialization equipment. You will support system integration with PLCs and sensors, and promote maintenance agreements and spare parts.

Travel is required to customer sites, and you may coordinate a small team of technicians. Strong electrical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or certification in technical, mechanical, electrical tech, engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally and nationally.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install and service systems, including custom applications.
• Repair equipment at customer sites and provide remote support.
• Troubleshoot with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Verify electrical wiring and motor control wiring during installations.
• Develop and deliver training on safe equipment operation.
• Maintain inventory, tools and company vehicle.
• Support sales with maintenance agreements and spare parts.
• Submit reports and ensure timely job tracking and billing.
