Job summary

Atlas Copco is seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions in Gastonia, NC. You will travel within the United States, maintain field equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure customer satisfaction.

The role requires 2-3+ years in industrial field service, an electromechanical background, and strong English proficiency. Lifting up to 50 lbs and working in challenging environments are expected.

Qualifications

• 2-3+ years of experience as an industrial related field service mechanic.
• Proven ability to maintain, repair and overhaul electrical, hydraulic and/or pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Customer Support Manager.
• Maintain fleet in the field and repair down equipment at customer locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment across the territory.
• Document all work daily using company hardware and software.

Your role

Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.

You will

• Report directly to the Customer Support Manager.
• Maintain fleet in the field
• Repair down equipment in the field and at customer locations
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment throughout the territory
• Develop and optimize efficient processes and routines
• Improve measurable success to business targets
• Document all work performed daily by using company provided hardware and software

To succeed, you will need

• You have 2 - 3+ years of experience as an industrial related field service mechanic
• You have an appropriate electromechanical degree or training
• You have demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul and repair of different industrial equipment including electrical, hydraulics and/or pneumatics
• You have a good command in English and a second language knowledge is a bonus
• You have high energy levels
• You will be expected to lift up to 50lbs and work in industrial environments including extremes in temperature with walking, standing, reaching, bending, and kneeling

Job location

You will be part of our customer center in Gastonia, NC. You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area, United States (US).
