Job summary

Valid8 Financial, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, commission, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain specialized semiconductor process equipment at customer facilities.

You will travel to sites, lead start-ups, and work with multiple teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance. You will coordinate tests, write SOO documentation, review P&IDs, and assist controls engineers with process logic while building strong customer relationships and ensuring safe

Qualifications

• 1+ years of technical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, maintenance, or field service experience.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong customer-facing professionalism and communication; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to regularly lift 50+ lbs and stand, sit, or kneel for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record; able to pass background check and drug screen.
• Commitment to safe work practices when using tools and interacting with customer equipment.
• Certifications in plastic welding and orbital welding are valuable.
• Experience in controls engineering helps with troubleshooting and automation upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites to support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance; lead for new equipment start-ups at multiple fabs.
• Assist in writing JHAs and Safe Work Permits; perform customer walkthroughs for new jobs.
• Provide customer updates and coordinate FATs, SATs, and installation schedules.
• Serve as SME with Quality to develop SOO documentation; review P&IDs; assist controls engineers with process logic.
• Troubleshoot automation and mechanical systems; support field service during startup/commissioning; suggest improvements.
• Source materials/equipment, obtain quotes, support purchasing, and maintain BOMs.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships; provide technical recommendations to meet objectives.
• Shop support for workload increases and facilities maintenance.
