Job summary

Warren Equipment Company in Ardmore, OK is seeking a Machine Field Technician III to deliver high-quality repair service on heavy equipment, diagnosing issues and returning assets to operation quickly.

You will work hands-on, use a range of tools, and mentor team members while maintaining safety and accurate documentation. Travel up to 40% may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, or 5–8 years of related experience.
  • Must obtain CDL within 90 days for field work.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and reports.
  • Knowledge of database, internet, manufacturing, and order processing software.
  • Clean driving record and eligibility for CDL.
  • May require DOT physical.
  • Willing to travel up to 40%.
  • Certified in air-conditioning.

Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned jobs and meet flat rate times and re-do metrics.
  • Complete paperwork and access required databases (work orders, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW).
  • Remove/install parts, disassemble/assemble components, test and adjust assemblies.
  • Demonstrate mastery of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools, laptops, and crane operations.
  • Provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to customers.
  • Diagnose issues, advise repairs, and perform engine repairs and adjustments.
  • Apply failure analysis procedures to diagnose problems.
  • Test and verify operation after repairs.
  • Mentor other machine team members.

The Machine Field Technician III is responsible for providing high quality repair service on equipment, in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Complete assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate times and re-do metric.
  • Complete related paperwork and access databases required to complete job (work order, parts order, JSA, DBS, SIMS, SIS web, STW) accurately and timely.
  • Remove and install parts, disassemble and assemble components, and test and adjust assemblies with ability to self-monitor work quality.
  • Mastery level knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments, lap tops, diagnostic software and cranes and rigging equipment.
  • This position requires the ability to provide accurate quotes and pricing estimates to the customer.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical machine and engine repairs and adjustments.
  • Apply specific failure analysis and procedures in determining proper diagnosis.
  • Test and verify correct operation of all repairs and adjustments.
  • Mentor Machine team members.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to obtain or currently possess adequate tooling to perform duties.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Manufacturing software and Order processing systems.
  • Clean driving record and ability to obtain CDL within 90 days of hire for field assignment, must be at least 21 years old to be assigned and operate field vehicle.
  • May be required to complete a DOT physical.
  • Successfully complete Work Steps assessment.
  • Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work, required overtime and on call.
  • Must be certified in air-conditioning.
